     The New Life Festival is a multi-cultural celebration of the end of one year and the beginning of the next.

Introductory Quest

     Strictly speaking, there is no "Introductory" quest for this event. However, if you acquire the start from the Crown Store, you will be directed to travel to the New Life Tent located just south of Windhelm and north of the Kynesgrove Wayshrine in Eastmarch.

  1. Travel to the New-Life Festival Pavillion in Eastmarch

  2. Speak with Breda.

Activities

Old-Life Messages: Participate in the Old-Life Ceremony as you send a message to those in Aethirus.

  1. Speak with Petronius Galenus

  2. Travel to an Old-Life Shrine (located in a random zone)

  3. Write a message

  4. Ignite the Old-Life Candle

  5. Burn the Message

  6. Return to Petronius Galenus

The following quests will be given in a (semi-) random order by Breda

Castle Charm Challenge: Participate in the Castle Charm Challenge

  1. Go to Alclair Castle in Stormhaven

  2. Perform in the Old Goat Inn with other players

  3. Perform in the Castle Square

  4. Perform in the Throne Room

  5. Return to Breda

Lavafoot Stomp: Honor the Darkelves by dancing at several Inns in Stonefalls.

  1. Go to Davon's Watch

    1. Dance at The Watch House

    2. Dance at The Fish Stink

  2. Go to Ebonheart

    1. Dance at The Ebony Flask

    2. Dance at The Hlaalu House

  3. Return to Breda

Fish Boon Feast: Go to Shadowfen and catch some bony fish.

  1. Collect a Histmuck Blobfin, a Shadowfen Creeping Leech, and a Black Marsh Cucumber

  2. Take the fish to Gentle-Heart in Hissmir

  3. Return to Breda

Mudball Merriment: Introduce the Ambassadors of the three Alliances to the idea that they really are not all that important to the people of Tamriel.

  1. Go to Skywatch in Auridon

  2. Throw Mud Balls at 10 Player Characters

  3. Throw a Mud Ball at one of the three Ambassadors

  4. Return to Breda

Signal Fire Sprint: Honor the Hero Ancestors of the Red Guards

  1. Go to Bergama in Alik'r Desert

  2. Speak with Aubatha

  3. Light the four fires in the allotted time

  4. Return to AubathaReturn to Breda

Snowbear Plunge: Take the challenge, dive into the icy waters of Eastmarch and freeze your reproductive organs off.

  1. Dive from the Windhelm Docks and warm yourself at the fire

  2. Dive from the Windhelm Bridge and warm yourself at the fire

  3. Dive from Dead Man's Falls and warm yourself at the fire

  4. Return to Breda

Stonetooth Bash: Join the Orcs of Betnikh to party into the new year

  1. Go to Stonetooth Fortress on Betnikh

  2. Speak with Matron Borbuga

  3. Get some Wolf meat and some Honey

  4. Return to Borbuga

  5. Eat the Honeyed Wolf Pie, the Bitter Goat Cheese, and drink the Betnikh Spiked Ale

  6. Burp in two player's faces

  7. Return to Breda

Trial of Five-Clawed Guile: Celebrate the mischieviousness of the cat people.

  1. Go to Rawl'kha in Reaper's March

  2. Speak with Tumira

  3. Retrieve the three coins from the locked chests

  4. Return to Tumira

  5. Return to Breda

War Orphan's Sojourn: The Altmer of Haven honor the new year with the War Orphan's Sojourn to benefit those who have lost loved ones to the many conflicts of Tamriel.

  1. Go to the Temple of the Eight in Grahtwood

  2. Speak with Ormurrel and make a donation

  3. Kill the encroaching wildlife

  4. Return to Breda
