Questing
Setup
Beyond the creation of your character, there is no additional setup required to begin questing.

The Process
All the quest givers in the game have a white triangle above their heads, speaking with any of them will start their quest which will be one of three types.
-
Daily Quest: Daily quests become available once you have reached a certain point in the Story Quest for a given zone. They can be repeated every day and are usually picked up in the zone's Capital City from quest givers with a 'cyan' triangle instead of the standard white.
-
Story Quest: Story quests are meant to move your character through the central story for whichever zone you are in and usually tie into the over-arching chapter story. They will lead you around the zone giving you the opportunity to explore and find additional side quests.
-
Side Quest: This may be the largest group of quests available but somehow takes the least amount of time to complete. Side quests can be found scattered all around Tamriel and generally take between 5 and 10 minutes to complete, quests associated with Dungeons, Trials, and some delves are notable exceptions to this. While the majority of these quests will be found, and probably completed, while working through the Story Questline, you will need to go searching for a few of them.
Once you have finished a quest you will need to return to the quest giver to claim your rewards and clear the quest from your journal. This is an important step as you can only have 25 quests at a time in your journal. If you do Daily Writs, you will need 7 slots in order to grab them.

The Rewards
Questing is generally a good way to pass the hours while keeping your hands occupied. With the right add-ons, it becomes nothing more than rote routine, but going without add-ons can make it super challenging requiring intense concentration and attention to detail.
