Group Content

What it is...

What is Group Content? It is most accurately described as the backbone of any multi-player game. In ESO, 'Group Content' refers specifically to any delve, dungeon, or overland area (in Craglorn) meant to be played in groups of 4 or more. It also refers to most PvP Content (Cyrodiil and Imperial City) as well as the 12-person Trials.

What it is not...

While most dungeons and delves have associated quests, these quests are not considered to be group content. Dungeon quests are normally accomplished individually while accompanying more experienced characters through the dungeon, and all but a few delves are considered solo content. It is worth noting that the few delves defined as Group content are all located in Craglorn and can usually be soloed by a skilled player, even with a character as low as level 15.

Another activity worth noting here is daily questing. Dailies are available in most zones throughout Tamriel and, while all of these (except the Daily Writs) can be completed as a group effort, only the Undaunted Pledges and Zone Boss Dailies are considered 'Group Content'.

Getting Started with Group Content.

Getting into playing group content is pretty simple, but the harder stuff will take a lot of repetitive play to get into.

1)  Before you can start any of the "Group Content" you will need to advance your character to at least level 10.

2)  Find the group of Undaunted to start the intro quest. You will find them drinking at one of the inns in Davon's Watch,

     Vohlkel Guard, or Daggerfall.

3)  Begin using the Dungeon Finder on the Group Tab (hotkey - [P]) to get into dungeons.

A word of warning, the Faithful of Talos guild frowns upon queueing up as a role other than what your build is for. If you're built to Tank you are a Tank! If you're built for healing you are a Healer! And if you are built for dealing massive amounts of damage then you are a DPS! While DPS players often have wait times approaching an hour. or more, this is because the majority of players are running DPS builds and is compounded by the fact that most DPS players tend to ignore their tanks and healers. If you don't want to wait in the queue, find a tank to run with consistently. As a tank, I refuse to queue up because of the number of times I've ended up with the kind of DPSers I described above.

4)  Continue leveling your character between dungeons. As you level up more dungeons will become available through the Dungeon

Finder and, at level 45 you will be invited to join the Undaunted which will allow you to begin doing the Daily Pledges.

5)  Research your build early on and begin collecting the gear you will need for its final form. You will not be welcome in end-game

content if your build is weak, in point of fact, most end-game groups won't accept you unless you "Chase the Meta".

While we discourage the idea that you have to "Chase the Meta", we do encourage you to find a proper build for your character.

It is this guild's position that proper mechanics control coupled with proper light attack weaving will bring victory, though not necessarily a 'Trifecta', in any dungeon or trial. We place Skill over Power!
